There are basically 3 kinds of
interlaboratory experiments, each one of them with different goals:

Proficiency Tests: built to
evaluate in a continuous way the technical ability of laboratories;

Collaborative Studies:
built to validate Specific test methods, as in international
standardisation committees;

Certification Study: this
kind of test is used for establishing the best value (best estimate) of
the “real” value of one specific analyte in a reference material; |
